Vail Resorts has announced that Crotched Mountain, 615 Francestown Road in Bennington, will open for the 2024-2025 winter season at 9 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6.

To celebrate the opening, there will be a first-chair banner break at the base of the Rocket. Guests arriving early will receive free muffins, hot chocolate and Crotched Mountain items. Initial terrain access off the Rocket will include Moonwalk, Galaxy, Magnitude, Meteor and CM Park. Guests are reminded that limited terrain and early-season conditions will exist.

Midnight Madness will return on Dec. 28, Jan. 18, Feb. 1, Feb. 22 and March 8. The Over the Moon Rail Jam is scheduled for Jan. 25, Feb. 15 and March 1. New this season, Crotched Mountain will introduce a Women’s Weekend, with dates to be announced later. Additionally, the mountain is looking to enhance its night skiing and riding experience with the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting across the entire mountain.

Early season hours of operation will be daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until night skiing is announced.
