Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will host a reception and artist talk with local oil painter Alicia Drakiotes on First Friday, Sept. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m.

During the reception, Drakiotes will be present to discuss her work and will also give a presentation on her artistic process from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Drakiotes’ exhibit, “Local Colors - Landscapes of the Monadnock Region,” is on view in the Community Art Gallery at the library until Friday, Sept. 27.

Drakiotes, born in Worcester, Mass., is an award-winning artist who has given regional and national exhibitions. Her paintings depict a world where objects and landscape are transfigured by light. All are welcome to view the exhibits during regular library hours.
