There is a lot going on at Stephenson Memorial Library. New events for teens include a book group the last Saturday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and teen study nights with Children’s Librarian Ella Cadematori.
April 15 is Teen Video Game Day; teens are invited to bring their phones to play the always-hilarious game “Jackbox.” During April break, there will be a teen game night April 27 from 5 to 7:30 p.m, and a middle school movie night April 28 from 4 to 6 pm. Parents, this is a great way to get your non-driving teens out of the house for a few—drop them off and enjoy the peace and quiet!
On April 13, the library will host "White Stars, Black Sea: A Titanic Retrospective,” presented by Will Kindler and sponsored by the New Hampshire Council for Humanities.
The Friends of the Library are raffling off seven beautiful gift baskets for their spring fundraiser: wine from LaBelle Winery, a pollinator-themed gardening basket, a reading basket, a barbecue basket, a candy basket, Granite State Welcome and tool basket. Stop by the library with some cash and purchase your tickets.
The Friends of the Greenfield Community Meetinghouse (FGCM) is hosting Lunch with the Architects on Saturday, April 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Meetinghouse. The Friends will serve a light lunch while architects from Misiaszek Turpin share their working design concepts for the Meetinghouse renovation project. All are welcome.
On April 27, the Friends will present Greenfield storyteller Sebastian Lockwood performing Homer’s “Odysseus” at 6:30 p.m. at the Meetinghouse. This performance, funded by the New Hampshire Council for Humanities, is free and open to the public. The event is co-sponsored by the FGCM, Stephenson Memorial Library and the Monadnock Writers’ Group. If you have not seen Sebastian perform, do not miss this chance!
The Greenfield Recreation Department is hosting a spring fling dance on Saturday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Meetinghouse. This is a family dance where children can bring a special adult as their guest; please contact Kayla Kokal for more information.
The deadline for youth baseball sign-ups is March 17. Players must be between the ages of 5 and 12, and parents need to present a birth certificate to register. For information, contact volunteers Kara Atherton at kara_avery@hotmail.com or Liz Griswold at ezaluki184@gmail.com.

The Greenfield Historical Society is gearing up for its 50th anniversary celebrations. GHS is hosting an antiques and collectibles market April 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Meetinghouse.
