Peterborough artist Kris Calnan recently exhibited his painting “Mitchell Rd. & 202, Peterborough, NH” at the Bowery Gallery in New York City.
Calnan’s work was selected from approximately 1,000 entries to be included in the 33rd annual juried exhibition. The show presents 28 works by 26 artists. The exhibition was juried by Enrico Riley, professor of studio art at Dartmouth College in Hanover.
Historically, Bowery Gallery’s juried exhibitions strive to promote a first look of young artists as well as mid-career artists. Much of the work selected is from the Northeast, but other regions of the country, including the South and Midwest, are represented.
Bowery Gallery was founded in 1969 and has approximately 30 member artists.
