The Mariposa Museum, 26 Main St. in Peterborough, will host a Dance of Universal Peace on Friday, Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m. The event, inspired by sacred traditions from around the world, will feature live music, chants and simple movements in a circle dance.

Certified dance leaders and musicians from across New England will support the Peterborough dance circle. Michaelann Murphy, coordinator and head of Earth and Sky Farm in Wilton, stated that this is a participatory event open to all.

Children are welcome, though child care is not provided. Seating will be available for those unable to participate in the dance.

A suggested donation of $10 to $15 per person or $20 for families is requested. Doors open at 7:15 p.m. For information, visit the Mariposa Museum website, mariposamuseum.org.
