JaffreyOptimist Cafe hosts music and spoken word

The Optimist Café, 16 Colls Farm Road in Jaffrey, will host an evening of music and spoken word on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event begins with an entrée, salad and dessert at 6 p.m., followed by performances by Doug Farrell, Bill Schofield and Wendy Keith. Farrell is a songwriter and a member of Decatur Creek. Schofield is a painter and writer originally from Connecticut who explores the beauty and paradox of the world. Keith, co-founder of Notes, is a singer-songwriter who has recorded four LPs, including "It’s About Time."
