The New Hampshire School Administrators Association chose an inauspicious time to honor ConVal Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders as New Hampshire's 2024 superintendent of the year. In March of 2024, the residents of Dublin and Francestown voted overwhelmingly to begin a study of the feasibility of withdrawing from ConVal.

Dublin finds itself in the uncomfortable predicament of sending $37,000 per student each year to a school district whose student academic proficiencies in 2023 were 51%, 40% and 36% in reading, math and science, respectively.The departure of Saunders to Pennsylvania may make it more possible for the bloated and underperformingConVal School District to finally reform itself and give Dublin and Francestown the freedom to find a successful and cost-effective way to educate their students.
