Monadnock Center hosting Scottish music

The New Hampshire Scottish Music Club will perform Saturday, May 10, at 3 p.m. in Bass Hall at the Monadnock Center for History and Culture, 19 Grove St., Peterborough.

Part of the Music in Bass Hall concert series, the program will feature reels, jigs, airs and strathspeys performed by the club’s orchestra.

Founded in 1988, the nonprofit New Hampshire Scottish Music Club promotes appreciation for Scottish culture and history through traditional music. In addition to concerts, the group hosts monthly public gatherings at the Concord Community Music School.

Tickets are $25, or $20 for Monadnock Center members. Proceeds benefit the club and the Monadnock Center. Tickets are available at monadnockcenter.org or by calling 603-924-3235.
