The Optimist Cafe, 16 Colls Farm Road in  Jaffrey, will host an evening of music and spoken word Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 9 p.m.

An entree, salad and dessert will be served at 6 p.m.

Walden Whitham, a singer, musician, actor and storyteller, will share his mode of storytelling with folk harp. He shares traditional and original tales with roots in theater, education,and a love of the natural world.

Kim Wallach is a singer, songwriter, children’s musician and educator. Wallach has performed both solo and with the Short Sisters across the United States and abroad since 1978. 

Tom Smith is an award-winning performer and songwriter, applying his old-school folk tradition to stories of people’s wants, needs, struggles and triumphs.
