Electric Earth Concerts kicks off its 2024 season with the Verona Quartet on Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. at the First Church in Jaffrey.

The Verona Quarter’s program includes Mendelssohn’s “String Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 12,” Grażyna Bacewicz’s “String Quartet No. 4” and Beethoven’s “String Quartet No. 15 in A Minor, Op. 132.”

Drawing from the mentorship of the Cleveland, Juilliard and Pacifica quartets, the Verona Quartet’s rise to international prominence was fueled by top prize wins at the Wigmore Hall, Melbourne, M-Prize and Osaka International Chamber Music Competitions, as well as the 2015 Concert Artists Guild Competition.

General admission is $30, payable online at electricearthconcerts.org or via cash or check at the door. Students may attend for free. For information, contact joan.electricearth@gmail.com or call 603-499-6216.
