Letter: Hate is not the answer

As the presidential campaign wears on, there has been the usual disparaging rhetoric from both sides. But now, I think it has gone way too far.

At a recent Donald Trump rally, he stated that the threat to the United States is not from China, Russia or Kim Jong Un, but from the people not voting for him, who he called “scum.”

Enough hate. We must remember not to hate the people calling us “scum” just because they hate us.
