Jaffrey Monadnock Comic Con is May 3 and 4

The Park Theatre, Escape Hatch Books, and Team Jaffrey have joined together to present Monadnock Comic Con Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4.

The event will include two days of comic books, characters in costume, movies and vendors and much more, and coincides with National Free Comic Book Day May 4. Escape Hatch Books will be handing out free comic books on May 4.

The Park Theatre will present the two newest animated Spider-Man movies, “Into the Spider-Verse” and “Across the Spider-Verse,” on both days. Additionally, the documentary “William Shatner: You Can Call Me Bill” will be shown every two hours starting at noon on May 4.

Comic book and other characters will be in full costume for photographs and videos, including Spider-Man, Beaver Boy, Mickey Mouse, T-Rex and “Beauty & The Beast’s” Belle. They will be at the theater or the book store, both located on same side of Main Street, and anywhere in-between on both days.

The theater will also house vendor tables from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. Vendors will include comic books, collectibles, crafts and food.
