Peterborough Folk Music presents Barnstar Sunday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Barnstar began as the brainchild of Zachariah Hickman (bassist for Josh Ritter, musical director for Ray Lamontagne) for a bluegrass supergroup featuring Boston musicians and songwriters. The group includes guitarist Mark Erelli, fiddle player Jake Armerding, mandolin player Taylor Armerding and banjo player Charlie Rose.

The band debuted in 2011 with “C’mon!” a mix of originals and covers cut live in the studio.

Tickets are $30 online in advance and $35 the day of the show, cash or checks only.
