Peterborough Players schedule ‘Curtains Up’

Peterborough Players is kicking off the summer with “Curtains Up,” a sneak peak of the 2024 season and an opportunity to help fund the future of theater.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, in the rehearsal hall and outside overlooking the grounds. Cocktails and appetizers will be available from Cynthia Ingraham and her team at Shiva Catering.

At 7 p.m., the audience will be ushered into the barn theater to celebrate the upcoming season. Longtime Players’ company member SevanneKassajian will serve as host. Performances will include music David Ruffin, who has perfomred in the touring company of “Grease” and “West Side Story.” Victoria Adams-Zischke, who will be in “Man of La Mancha” later in the summer, will also perform.

Attendees will be able to donate to the Players’ Second Company internship program. The evening will end with coffee and dessert in the lobby.

Tickets are $125, which supports the Second Company. Tickets are available by calling the box office at 603-924-7585 or visiting peterboroughplayers.org.
