Peterborough Town Library Film Club schedules ‘Green for Danger’

The Film Club at Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will screen “Green for Danger,” a 1946 detective drama set during a German bombing raid on rural southeast England during World War II, Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 6:15 p.m..
Postman Joseph Higgins (Moore Marriott) dies on the operating table when a bomb explodes in the operating room. But whe n Sister Marion Bates (Judy Campbell) dies after revealing that this is not the first patient of anesthetist Barney Barnes (Trevor Howard) to die under suspicious circumstances, police inspector Cockrill (Alastair Sim) is brought in to investigate.
All are welcome. Similar to a book club, the PTL Film Club watches films together and participates in discussion. Discussions are led by Mark Holding, a film studies professor, and explore theme, direction, characterization and more. Snacks and drinks are serve d, and reg istration is not required.
