Peterborough Town Library, 2 Concord St., will host an exhibition of artwork made by ConVal High School students, “No Egrets: Artwork by a flock of ConVal High School Students.”

The exhibition will feature artwork created in studio art and ceramics classes taught by Karrie Mitschmyer, Ben Putnam and Carolann Tebbetts. This exhibition is running in conjunction with the Children and The Arts Festival on May 18 and is based around the 2024 theme, “Birds of a Feather.” The opening reception will be held on First Friday, May 3, from 5 to 7 p.m., and the exhibit will be on display May 3 to 31.

Throughout the exhibit, the community will be asked to fold paper cranes to display in the library. The hope is to fold 1,000 cranes, based on the story of Sadako Sasaki. More information and corresponding books can be found on display at the library. In addition, the week before the Children and The Arts Festival, the library will have artwork on display in the Elizabeth Room. These pieces will be a collaborative art project between ConVal High School art students and Peterborough Elementary School first-graders.

All are welcome to view the exhibits during regular library hours. For information, visit peterboroughtownlibrary.org or call 603-924-8040.
